Smoke Shop Etiquette: A Beginner's Guide

First time in a smoke shop? Most people walk in feeling a little out of their depth. Here's how to make the visit easier and walk out with what you actually wanted.

Tell us what you're trying to do

The most useful thing you can say is the goal. 'I want to stop smoking cigarettes' tells us to point you toward salt nic pod systems or higher-strength disposables. 'I want to relax in the evening' points to specific hemp-derivative formulations. Don't be vague; we can't read minds.

Ask for comparisons

If you've used a product you liked, tell us. If a friend recommended something specific, mention it. We can then explain how the product on our shelf compares and recommend what's likely to suit you. Comparisons cut through marketing.

Don't be afraid to ask about price

Smoke shops cover a wide price range. A 30 dollar disposable and a 600 dollar vaporizer can sit on the same wall. Ask what works for your budget; we'll guide you to the right tier.

Bring ID

Florida law requires age verification for tobacco, nicotine vape, and most hemp-derived products. We card every customer who looks under 30. No ID, no purchase. This is non-negotiable.

Don't ask for products we can't legally sell

Recreational cannabis flower remains illegal in Florida. Don't ask. Hemp-derived alternatives that meet federal compliance are legal and available; ask about those instead.

Tip: be patient with explanations

If you ask a detailed question, the answer might take 90 seconds. We'd rather give you the right information than push a sale. Customers who understand their purchase come back; that's the model.
